Classic Pursuit

This is a studio painting inspired by classic sailing yachts I had the opportunity to see and sketch at Les Voiles de St Tropez.  We spent a few hours on the water seeing the boats close up, and then I was able to set up and sketch them from shore in the heart of  the village of Saint Tropez.  The finish line was close and so I had a good vantage point to study them.  

This painting was accepted to and exhibited in the 159th Annual International Exhibition of the American Watercolor Society.  The exhibition was be held from April 7 to May 1, 2026, at the Salmagundi Club in NYC.
