Canoe Conversations

I painted this to show the story of learning to paddle a canoe.  Canoe adventures are a quintessential part of my summer memories. When I was a kid we explored lakes in northern Maine in a cedar canoe.  Now I enjoy being able to get my kids out on the water for similar adventures.  This painting is based upon a trip when my brother came along on a backwoods camping trip.  The kids became much better canoers on that trip, thanks to his help.  Even when the clouds were heavy, we enjoyed our time out there.
