Cleveland Beach Picnic

There is nothing quite like the sound of waves rushing in over a smooth flat beach.  The smell of salt air and surf add to the thrill of those first few steps on cool wet sand at the beginning of a beach day.  Gulls call, children run back and forth, being chased by incoming waves and then chasing the waves themselves as they lapse back into the sea.

This was painted on location at Cleveland Beach Provincial Park.
