Boats of Monterey

This was painted on location by Fisherman's wharf in Monterey.  I was drawn to paint the small whale watching building at the end of the wharf, but the painting expanded to include the industrial looking boat on the right hand side.  I did not want to paint it at the beginning, but in the end, that is my favourite part of the painting.  Here is a detail:
