This was painted from life en plein aire at a cricket match (yet, cricket!) in Annapolis Royal. This lovely youngster was dressed in period costume. As I had just painted her brother, she asked me if I would paint her. I agreed, on the condition that she would try hard to sit still, and she did very well indeed.
