Dory, Sailing

This dory is a traditional fishing vessel, as used on the fishing schooners who sailed from Lunenburg to fish for cod on the Grand Banks.  They were traditionally rowed by the fishermen, but as they fell out of use with the passage of time, some of the dories became outfitted with sails for pleasure use.
